Objective // Senior thesis project
Concept // This project is an exploration of typography through the human senses. Outside of their everyday application for textual communication, letterforms are a visual language that convey meaning. They are an art form, a tool and a system that is often overlooked and consider secondary to the information they present. This project investigates the taste, smell, touch, sound, and sight of typography with the use of materials that are evocative and representational. By creating a collection of sensory alphabets, the power typography has on viewers is revealed.
